SilShield Coating

$ 280.00

SilShield is a silicone elastomeric coating. SilShield has quickly become a Monolithic favorite. Because it is not an organic coating (like urethane or acrylic), SilShield does not react as much to UV rays, making it more durable. Our experience shows the SilShield tends to shed dirt. SilShield is waterproof with a crack bridging ability up to 1/16 inch.

SilShield is solvent based. It does not “bloom” or chalk, and has minimal application limitations due to threatening rain or humidity.

SilShield coating bonds to itself. At the 10-year limited warranty period conclusion, after an inspection by the manufacturer, and a single re-coat of SilShield coating it is possible to extend the limited warranty.

When applying SilShield over concrete or stucco no primer is needed. We recommend the use of Monoform primer when applying SilShield directly to an Airform. SilShield may be suitable for use on stone, brick, concrete, metals, glass, stucco, EIFS, wood and plastics.

SilShield coating cleans easily using common household detergents and water. Most spray paints, magic markers, inks and other graffiti items, can be removed using an IPA cleaning wipe.

SilShield has excellent color retention over time.

SilShield comes in 5 gallon pails. Coverage is 100 square feet per gallon (1 coat). SilShield currently comes in 4 standard colors: White, Buttercream, Light Gray and Tan. Custom colors are available in orders of quantities of 16 5-gallon pails or more.

Easily applied, SilShield can be sprayed or simply rolled on. To roll on the SilShield thin the product with mineral spirits and apply to cleaned surface.
